Spoiler alert > scroll down......If you read "True Believer" don't bother to read this sequel, you'll be so disappointed. It's poorly written, and you get the feeling the author was only fulfilling a contractual obligation by finishing it. And I don't mind a sad ending, but this felt like it had been pulled out of his behind in order to quickly finish things off, and then offer a sudden and cheesy ending that ties in with the first book out of nowhere. This comes after you've been wondering while reading this second book... am I even reading about the same people here? Then suddenly... wham... stupid ending. I skipped through the last two chapters in frustration and disgust, just to find out where he went with it. I love Nicholas Sparks! Ever since I was in high school I was forced to read things, I would look through the library for an hour and just couldnt catch on to somthing. I would pick out several books and read the back... what basically summarizes the book and should be of interest. Well I would almost always put the book back. The day I picked up a Nicholas Sparks book I thought oh The Last Song! I loved that movie. I thought forsure if I like any book it would have certainly been this one! So I checked out the limit of three, and so began my collection of reading his books and trying to finish the book before they had made the movie. I loved that I could compare and contrast, and think to myself while watching the movie that a whole lot more happened that people were missing out on. Which had made me very happy I read the book. Knowing all the slight details from reading the book helped me pick up on the little things in the movie that I never would have caught if I didn't read what that actor was thinking. I love them they are all love stories or very heatfelt stories that I feel Nicholas Sparks has personally experienced. Because of his books I want to reach out and grab more books off the shelf. I'm more interested in learning new things now that I'm out of high school and not being forced to do so. I want to educate myself through books and reading and I think by easing my way in and building my vocabulary through reading has helped me want to do so. I have never NOT liked one book of his that I have read. I also continue to purchase ones that I havn't read or heard of but if it has his name on it I know I won't be disapointed. Once you pick up his book I hope you have some time on your hands because I'd bypass time and cry and laugh and next thing I knew it was about time for bed. I feel like they are friends I wish I had and experiences that I have overcome. I loved Nicholas Sparks and his books and I think if I did anyone will!
